VIDEO TRANSFER
Do you have some treasured video cassettes that you'd like to view again, but no longer have a video recorder?
Do you have some old camcorder cassettes but no camcorder to play them on, or nothing to connect the camcorder to?
It is possible for you to bring back those memories of that wedding, holiday, party, etc, by using our video transfer service. Your video can be sent to you as a DVD or a digital media file.
Used in conjunction with our video editing service, your video can be turned into a movie with chapters, titles, and a soundtrack.
We are able to transfer the following video cassette formats:
- VHS (PAL and NTSC formats);
- VHS-C* (PAL and NTSC formats);
- Hi8 (PAL and NTSC formats);
- Video8 (PAL and NTSC formats);
- Mini DV (PAL format).
Once digitised, your video will be transcoded into a format that ensures the video and audio tracks play at the same rate. This prevents the sound going out of sync with the images in any subsequent editing.
*VHS-C are the mini VHS cassettes, about the size of a deck of playing cards, which fit into an adapter that allows them to be played on an ordinary VHS video recorder.
PLEASE NOTE: We will do our utmost to look after your originals whilst they are in our possession. We cannot, however, be held responsible for any loss or damage that may occur during that time, including during the transfer process.
